Peanut Butter Caramel Sauce Recipe
I can find a way to add peanut butter to almost anything - I think it’s a southern thing. Growing up we ate it a lot, but it wasn’t reserved exclusively for PB+Js! When I was thinking of fun sundae toppings, I instantly thought of a peanut butter caramel sauce. This sauce not only has the notes of nutty creaminess, but it also has those bold undertones of molasses from the brown sugar. Whether you’re making my peanut butter brownies (recipe coming next week!) or just topping an ice cream sundae, you won’t be disappointed by this sauce!
Peanut Butter Caramel Sauce
Ingredients
1/4 cup Butter, cubed
1 cup Brown Sugar
1 tbsp White Sugar
1/2 cup Heavy Cream
1/3 cup Peanut Butter
Directions
Put the butter, sugars, and heavy cream in a small saucepan. Bring to a boil while whisking constantly. Once it has boiled for 3 minutes, add the peanut butter and return to a boil for another two minutes.
Pour into a mason jar and use as soon as it is cool enough to eat or place in the fridge for 1-2 weeks. It’s just that easy!
